At SFO we are always looking at ways to improve the streaming process.
We have been working with multiple camera setups and POE LAN cameras. The POE (Power Over Ethernet) allows us to have additional cameras situated at the stadiumwith connection to our video production software.
Now we can offer a solution to provide the away team live stream from the camera. This mechansim allows an RTMP pull connection to your own vide production unit at your stadium or home. This allows the Away team to run a production including commentary without having to travel to the away ground.
Most cameras at the home ground do have network connectivity and so can provide the relevant RTMP push connection to SFO while the away team can use the RTMP Pull connection.
We have tested this, on a number of occassions, with a normal push stream from Vmix or OBS and then feeding into a normal Vmix setup. This has then been pushed out to the Stream B giving a backup option. Part of the reason for doing this way is to demonstrate the ability to add information titles to teh stream such as Yellow/Red card, Substitute, Goal Scorer and additional information. This, of course, can all be done by the production team at the stadium but where there are space limitations, this mechanism provides a simple and effective mechanism for Remote Production.
